This requires fundamentally rethinking how we design, make, and use products. The potential is enormous — circular economy approaches could reduce global emissions by 45% while creating new business opportunities and reducing waste.

These systems collect used products, restore them to like-new condition, and resell them. Remanufacturing can use 85% less energy and materials than making new products while creating local jobs. Digital platforms connect consumers with refurbished goods and help companies manage take-back programs. This works particularly well for electronics, automotive parts, furniture, and industrial equipment.
